Before you start

Park on level ground, switch off the vehicle, and clean the inside of the windshield. Have the camera, mount, power cable, and cable tool nearby.

Choose the position

Place the camera high on the windshield, close to the rear-view mirror. Make sure the lens has a clear view and the camera does not obstruct the driver’s vision or vehicle sensors.

Route the cable

Run the power cable along the headliner and down the side trim. Keep it away from airbags, pedals, steering components, and sharp edges. Do not force the cable behind trim that does not move easily.

Check the image

Power on the camera and confirm that the horizon is level. The road should fill most of the frame, with a small portion of the vehicle hood visible when appropriate.

Installation requirements vary by vehicle and location. Follow the vehicle manufacturer’s instructions and local laws.
